The Observatory - Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ODESC) is a platform formed by individuals and organizations, created in 1998, with the aim of promoting the integrity and enforceability of human rights. His work defends that both the civil and political rights – such as the right to freedom of expression, to life, to vote, etc. - and economic, social, cultural and environmental rights – such as the right to adequate housing, to work, to education, to health, to food, etc. - are interdependent and constitute binding obligations to advance social justice and human dignity. The Observatory participates actively in national and international campaigns, especially in the areas of Housing and Health Rights, the Right to Food and Food Sovereignty and the fight against Foreign Debt.
