Habitat International Coalition (HIC) – Housing and Land Rights Network (HLRN)

The Housing and Land Rights Network (HLRN) is a HIC's member group promoting the human right to adequate housing and land. HIC is an independent, international, non-profit alliance of some 400 organizations and individuals working in the area of human settlements. HIC was formed as the outcome of civil alliance formed at Habitat I, in Vancouver B.C., in 1976. The strength of the Coalition is based on its diverse, worldwide membership that includes social movements, grassroot organizations, civil society organizations, NGOs, academic and research institutions<s>,</s> and like-minded individuals from over 100 countries in both North and South.
